Commercial Gas Engineer required for our client, a well‑known M&E Services Contractor with over 50 years of experience. The role is part of the HVAC Services Team, responsible for maintaining a diverse portfolio of commercial plant‑room appliances across London and the Home Counties. The Engineer will balance planned maintenance and reactive repair work, with a relatively low volume of call‑outs.

Job Overview

  • Carry out service, maintenance, and breakdown support on commercial plant‑room equipment.
  • Work across a varied commercial client base, ideally situated in North London or North of the River.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum five years’ experience as a Commercial/Combustion Gas Engineer.
  • Valid ACS Commercial Gas Qualifications (COCN1 or CODNC01, CIGA1, CORT1).
  • Valid Commercial Gas Tickets.
  • Experience with steam, oil, and LPG systems (beneficial).
  • A time‑served apprenticeship (beneficial).
  • UK driving licence.
  • Ideally based inside the M25.

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary £52,000 – £57,000 per annum.
  • 45‑hour week, including a paid lunch break.
  • Overtime at 1.5× and 2× rates, average £20,000 per annum.
  • London Retention scheme.
  • Company van with optional personal use.
  • 1 – 8 call‑out rota.
  • Mon‑Fri 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
  • 23 days holiday + Bank Holidays.
  • 4% pension scheme.
