Position Overview:

  • Set, operate, and program Citizen Sliding Head CNC machines (4 and 5 axis) to produce precision aerospace components to drawing and tolerance requirements.
  • Carry out full machine setups including tooling, offsets, bar feeds, and first-off inspections to ensure smooth production.
  • Edit and improve CNC programs to reduce cycle times and maintain quality and accuracy.
  • Inspect parts using measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, and gauges to meet ISO 9001 and aerospace standards.
  • Complete production records, inspection reports, and traceability paperwork in line with AS9100 and customer requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement, reduce scrap, and maintain high standards of machine care, safety, and housekeeping.

Position Requirements:

  • Proven experience setting, operating, and programming Citizen Sliding Head CNC machines.
  • Strong knowledge of 4 and 5 axis machining and sliding head lathe operations.
  • Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and tight tolerance specifications.
  • Experience working to ISO 9001 and AS9100 aerospace quality standards.
  • Skilled in using inspection equipment such as micrometers, verniers, and gauges.
  • Good problem-solving skills with a focus on quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
