Bennett and Game are currently working with one of the UK’s largest and most successful Surface & Highways Companies to source a skilled and proven Mobile Plant Mechanic / Plant Fitter to work out of their Birmingham location. Our client works in multiple sectors with complete UK wide coverage. They have won and extended major contracts and, due to this expansion, they now require a skilled Mobile Plant Mechanic / Plant Fitter to join their business.

Mobile Plant Fitter Overview

Within this role you will manage and maintain the company's mixed and specialist fleet. You will cover complete Plant Fitting duties including inspection, testing, repairs, welding & fabrication work. You will receive specialist on the job training and be rewarded with excellent pay and additional benefits.

Mobile Plant Fitter Requirements

  • Proven working ability in a Plant Mechanic role.
  • NVQ in relevant engineering discipline – Highly desirable.
  • Ideally knowledge working on Rollers or Pavers – highly desirable.
  • Flexible approach to working hours and conditions – early mornings/late finishes – to ensure fleet is in fit/serviceable condition.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.

Mobile Plant Fitter Remuneration

  • 1.5x overtime (Saturday)
  • 2x overtime (Sunday)
  • Monday to Friday (50-hour week)
