This is an excellent opportunity for a Buyer to join an expanding and successful business.

The successful candidate will be joining a small purchasing team, and will have the opportunity to further develop their career with an expanding and successful business.

  • Comparing and evaluating supplier quotations to ensure best value and suitability.
  • Negotiating commercial terms, pricing, and supply agreements.
  • Tracking purchase orders and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Reviewing the quality and suitability of purchased goods.
  • Entering supplier information, pricing, and stock details into the ERP system and maintaining accurate purchasing records.
  • Preparing cost analysis and procurement reports.
  • Monitoring stock levels and placing orders based on ERP‑driven demand.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of purchasing strategies.
  • Assessing supply‑chain risks and supporting mitigation planning.
  • Working as part of a small purchasing team, supporting shared objectives and operational continuity.

  • Proven purchasing experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Confident user of MS Office and ERP/MRP software such as Order Wise, Sage, SAP, or similar.
  • Ability to understand technical drawings, manufacturing processes, and engineering
  • Based in a commutable distance of Basingstoke
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
