Position: Structural Technician

Location: Swanley, Kent

Salary: up to £45,000

We are working with a well-established structural and civil engineering consultancy in Kent who are seeking an experienced Structural Technician to join their growing team. This is an excellent

opportunity to work on a wide variety of high-profile projects across the UK, including large retail,

medical, and some residential developments with values up to £150m.

The successful Structural Technician will play a key role in supporting the design team by producing accurate technical drawings, models, and documentation, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards. Job Overview

  • Produce detailed structural drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Assist engineers with the preparation of calculations, schedules, and technical documentation.
  • Work on projects across multiple sectors including retail, healthcare, commercial, and residential.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure accurate and buildable designs.
  • Carry out site visits and surveys as required to support design development.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with relevant codes, standards, and quality requirements.

Job Requirements

  • HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering (or relevant discipline).
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit Structures highly desirable.
  • Background in preparing structural GA drawings, RC detailing, and steelwork fabrication drawings.
  • Understanding of UK building regulations and Eurocodes.
  • Previous experience working within a consultancy environment on Retail projects.
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
