Our client a Tier one contractor, are looking for a Group Quantity Surveyor in their office in outside Sevenoaks just off the M26, working on D&B, Aggregates, Infrastructure, Utilities and highways projects. This opportunity will compensate the most successful candidate with a with working in a close knit friendly team, flexibility on hours, life insurance and salary up to £70,000 for the right candidate. The Quantity Surveyor will be involved in tendering, cost planning, measurement, valuation, contract administration, final accounts and maximising the groups contracts.

Quantity Surveyor Job Overview

  • Work across all the groups projects
  • Preparation of bills of quantities, tender documentation, and contract documents.
  • Measurement and valuation of works including cost analysis and cost planning.
  • Contract administration, including variations, claims, and negotiations.
  • Preparation of interim and final accounts.
  • Preparation and presentation of cost reports to senior management.
  • Evaluation of tender submissions and preparation of tender reports.
  • Preparation of budget estimates and cost plans.
  • Preparation and submission of progress payment applications.

Quantity Surveyor Job Requirements

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field would be ideal.
  • 10 years’ + experience in civil engineering / utilities/ Construction as a quantity surveyor
  • Excellent knowledge of civil engineering contracts.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cost estimating software.
  • UK Driving Licence
