Bennett and Game is exclusively partnering with a wellâestablished and growing plant hire business operating across the Southeast, London, and major UK infrastructure projects. Due to continued growth and fleet investment, they are looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to support both regional (Sussex) and national expansion.
This role will suit a commercially driven individual who works well both independently and as part of a team, delivers results, maintains and grows customer relationships, and manages their own customer base. The business will fully support the successful candidate with ongoing fleet investment and strong operational backup.
Responsibilities:- Manage, maintain, and grow an existing customer base across construction and civil engineering sectors
- Develop new business opportunities within the Southeast, London, and nationally
- Build and maintain strong longâterm relationships with contractors, buyers, and project teams
- Secure opportunities on major infrastructure and civil engineering projects (e.g. large civils, frameworks, national projects)
- Attend client meetings, site visits, and industry networking events
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure successful delivery and customer satisfaction
- Achieve agreed sales and growth targets
- Proven experience in a Business Development or Senior Sales role within plant hire is essential
- Strong ability to build and manage client relationships
- Comfortable working independently with a proactive and resultsâfocused approach
- Ideally well connected within the Sussex, SouthâEast / London market, or experienced in securing work on major national projects
- Competitive salary DOE: ÂŁ50-70k with performanceârelated bonus & vehicle / allowance
