£18.00 - £20.00 per hour + Door-to-Door Pay + Company Van

Our client is a well-established plant hire and earthworks contractor with over 50 years of experience, operating a modern fleet of earthmoving equipment across Scotland and Northern England.

They support a wide range of civil engineering, infrastructure, quarrying, utilities, and renewable energy projects.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Mobile Plant Engineer to join their engineering team based in Lanark.

Role Overview

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of heavy plant machinery.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
  • Attend breakdowns at customer sites across Scotland.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and inspections.
  • Complete service reports and maintenance documentation.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
  • Work independently while providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Plant Engineer, Mobile Plant Fitter, Heavy Plant Engineer, or similar.
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
  • Experience working on excavators, dump trucks, dozers, loading shovels, rollers, or similar heavy plant.
  • Good knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine systems.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
