HGV / Van Technician
Location: Purfleet, Essex
Salary: £20.00 per hour (Negotiable DOE)
Job Overview
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs, trailers, and light commercial vehicles
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
- Complete vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance
- Prepare vehicles for MOT testing
- Complete workshop documentation and service records accurately
- Maintain a safe and tidy working environment
- Provide breakdown support when required (rare occasions)
Requirements
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Technician, Van Technician, or LCV Technician
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience working on HGVs, trailers, or light commercial vehicles
- Ability to work independently and as part of a workshop team
- Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence would be advantageous
Salary & Benefits
- Monday to Friday 10-hour shifts
- Overtime paid at time and a half
- Optional Saturday morning overtime
