Job Description

Their expertise extends to both wired and wireless telecommunications, enabling seamless connectivity and reliable communication solutions for businesses and consumers.

The successful HSEQ Manager will be joining an organisation at the forefront of the utilities, telecommunications, and civil engineering sectors. They are committed to delivering high-quality services and projects while ensuring the utmost safety and well-being of their employees, subcontractors, and the communities they serve. It is envisaged that the successful HSEQ Manager will have previous experience within utilities, telecommunications or civil engineering.

Package:

  • Salary: £45k – £50k
  • Company vehicle
  • Fuel Card
  • Membership of pension scheme, critical illness and life assurance
  • 28 days inclusive of bank holidays
  • Company life assurance & critical Illness scheme
  • Auto enrolment 5% staff contribution, 3% employer contribution

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and continually improve comprehensive health and safety programs, policies, and procedures specific to utilities, telecommunications, and civil engineering projects.
  • Stay current with and ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal health and safety regulations, standards, and guidelines.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and hazard analyses for all projects within these industries, identifying potential safety issues and providing solutions.
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs to employees and subcontractors, ensuring a high level of safety awareness and competence.
  • Lead investigations and report on safety incidents, accidents, near misses, and injuries, implementing corrective actions and preventative measures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in civils engineering or construction
  • Professional certifications in safety management
  • Strong knowledge of industry-specific safety standards and regulations.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to influence and engage cross-functional teams to achieve safety objectives.
  • Proficiency in safety software and reporting tools.
