Embedded Technical Engineer required for an Electronics provider based in Reading. Now looking for an enthusiastic and keen person to join the engineering team. Ideally, we are looking for someone with hardware and embedded software experience and capabilities to strengthen our business development and engineering support services.

Embedded electronics and software design, testing and assembly work
Requirements gathering and writing specifications
Managing projects from start to completion
Write and assist with technical tenders/proposals/quotations/drawings
Research, investigate and provide technical information for potential projects/sales
Act as design consultant to customers providing cost saving and ideas and suitable technical initiatives.
Actively design and develop solutions based around IHL Embedded systems
Develop and support Software based applications based around IHL/Customer applications
Write and assist with technical tenders/proposals/quotations/drawings.
Research, prepare, write and deliver Technical and Product Training to internal staff and customers where required.
Defining the scope of the proposed project.
Organising and implementing the project plan to achieve objectives
Embedded Technical Engineer – Electronics Job Requirements
• Have a relevant qualification in Engineering (Electronics/Electrical) or related work experience in this field
• Have reasonable technical knowledge of embedded electronics and software to board level
• Project management experience and skills preferred
• Familiarity with various communication protocols and programming techniques (embedded programming skills preferred)
• Knowledge of SpaceClaim, 3D printing, AutoCAD, Java, Assembly, C/C++, Python, MATLAB, VHDL, PHP/HTML, Unix/Linux
• Understand electronic, electrical and quality terminology/parameters and key technologies used
