Job Description
Our client a specialist Civil Engineering contracting business are seeking a Contracts Manager to work on prestigious projects covering the Hampshire area, working on projects from climate adaptation and infrastructure projects. The Contracts Manager will receive a generous salary up to £90k + Car allowance, company bonus , hybrid working and Private Healthcare. This would be initially a 12 month Fixed Term project moving to Perm for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will have previous experience working o, Heavy Civils Projects or Costal defence, water, utilities, design and build with a Contractor on large construction / Civils projects. It is essential for the successful candidate to be up to date knowledge of job-related health & safety, up to date knowledge of construction methodologies, techniques & best practice, managing people, financial Management and programme management.

Contract Manager Job Overview
- Build and maintain a motivated project/site teams, including Project Managers for delivery of key elements of scope
- Lead a portfolio of projects to meet their financial, programme and quality metrics
- Support commercial team to prepare enquires and procure subcontract packages.
- Promote a culture of integration, continuous improvement and use of best practice.
- Work with the planning permission team to produce construction related documents to discharge planning conditions for phases of work.
- Work closely with the joint venture Health and Safety Manager to ensure high standards of site safety are maintained.
- Ensure site costs are booked to the relevant earned value cost code.
- Lead design and procurement of the main site compound, including offices, welfare, utilities and access controls.
