A growing multi-disciplinary consultancy based in Bristol is seeking an Assistant Building Surveyor to join their team due to continued business growth. The role offers the opportunity to work across a range of commercial projects, with a strong focus on the education sector, alongside other refurbishment and maintenance schemes. Working closely with experienced surveyors and directors, the successful candidate will gain exposure to a wide variety of project and professional services. This position will primarily be office-based, with site visits across the surrounding regions as required, providing an excellent opportunity to develop practical surveying experience while working within a supportive and experienced team. Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the delivery of building surveying services across commercial and education sector projects
- Supporting project work including refurbishments, maintenance and improvement schemes
- Carrying out site inspections and surveys
- Assisting with preparation of reports, specifications and schedules of work
- Supporting contract administration and project delivery
- Working alongside senior surveyors and directors on a range of technical surveying tasks
Job Requirements:
- BSc (or equivalent) in Building Surveying or a related discipline
- Minimum 12 months’ post-graduation experience within a Building Surveying role
- Full UK driving licence
- Based within commuting distance of Bristol
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Keen to develop professionally and work towards MRICS chartership
- Motivated, proactive and looking for a long-term career within Building Surveying
