We're looking for a reliable and customer-focused Trade Counter Assistant to join a busy hydraulic and industrial supplies operation in St Albans.
This is a varied, hands-on role involving customer service, counter sales, order preparation and hydraulic hose assembly. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Role Overview
- Serve trade and retail customers at the counter
- Supply hydraulic and pneumatic hoses, fittings and components
- Assemble hydraulic hose assemblies
- Pick and prepare customer orders
- Prepare orders for collection and dispatch
- Provide excellent customer service
- Communicate with customers and colleagues
- Support the wider team with day-to-day depot duties
Requirements
- Previous experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, engineering or industrial supplies is beneficial
- Counter sales or customer service experience advantageous
- Practical and hands-on approach
- Reliable with a positive attitude
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to learn
- Full training provided for the right candidate
