We're looking for an experienced Hire Controller to join a busy and established plant/tool hire operation in Acton. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous hire desk experience who enjoys a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Role Overview

  • Manage customer hire enquiries, bookings and off-hires
  • Process contracts, orders and hire documentation
  • Coordinate equipment deliveries and collections
  • Liaise with workshop and transport teams
  • Monitor fleet availability and equipment allocation
  • Maximise hire opportunities and ancillary sales
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Assist customers with loading/unloading equipment when required

Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience within plant hire, tool hire or equipment rental
  • Previous hire desk/hire controller experience
  • Syrinx experience highly desirable
  • Good knowledge of the hire process, transport and fleet scheduling
  • Strong organisation and communication skills
  • Full UK Category B manual driving licence essential
  • Physically fit and comfortable assisting with loading/unloading
  • Polish or Ukrainian language skills advantageous

Salary & Benefits

  • Β£46,000+ per year
  • Monday-Friday, 6am-5pm
  • Minimum 2 Saturdays per month, 6am-1pm
  • Established plant/tool hire operation
  • Varied, customer-facing role
