Salary: £23.10 per hour + overtime at £30.72 per hour
Shift: Monday-Thursday, 12-hour night shifts
Overtime: Saturday overtime available + on-call rota
Our client is a well-established logistics and transport business currently looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a predominantly night-shift position working a 4-night Monday-Thursday pattern, with additional overtime opportunities available.
The Role
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a range of HGVs and commercial vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
- Complete preventative maintenance and inspections.
- Ensure vehicles are maintained to a high standard and remain compliant with relevant legislation.
- Carry out fault finding and breakdown repairs where required.
- Complete maintenance records and relevant paperwork.
- Work safely and efficiently within a busy transport and logistics environment.
- Participate in the on-call rota.
- Saturday overtime available.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician.
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
- Experience working on HGVs or commercial vehicles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant HGV or commercial vehicle qualifications are desirable.
- Full UK driving licence is desirable.
