The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

This position is based in our London Office. The Estimator will be responsible for the measurement of all tender drawings and the management of all additional surveying documentation requested in relation to project tenders, pre-qualifications applications, Design and Build and PPP project detail, general ongoing project measurement detail and other pricing measures as required. The Quantity Surveyor (Measuring) will also be responsible for assisting with the preparation of estimates and Bills of Quantities as required, progress reports, final account preparation, client interaction and attending various design team/site meetings.

As a Senior member of the Quantity Surveying Team, the Senior QS will have responsibility for direction of the function in relation to relevant projects; as a result of which the Senior QS must be commercially aware, with a high level of commitment, initiative and enthusiasm. In addition, the job holder will also be responsible for the day-to-day operational oversight of the key business areas including liaising with and promoting cooperation with other functions, effectively assisting the QS Director and the management of intermediate and junior surveyors as required.

Principle Duties & Accountabilities:

  • Liaising and reporting to the Estimating Team in relation to ongoing project submissions.
  • Liaising with the Design Team, PQS firm or others to ensure detail and specifications are met.
  • Attend regular pipeline meetings to review current tender submission requirements and communicate effectively to keep QS Director up-to-date on project submission status whilst also tracking and resolving issues.
  • Reviewing tender enquiries and tender analysis for projects and advising of any concerns or value engineering detail as appropriate.
  • Assist in the process of Sub-contractor re-measurement, on a project-by-project basis.
  • Keeps abreast of various changes in the industry and competitive environment in which the company operates.
  • Lead by example in cooperating with all of the policies and procedures throughout Bennett (Construction) Ltd to enhance best practice culture.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
