Our client is a leading provider of forklift sales, servicing, and solutions, based in Dewsbury, to help them grow their mobile service team. This well-established business prides itself on delivering reliable, professional support to clients across Dewsbury and the surrounding areas. They are now looking for a Mobile Forklift Engineer to join their expanding operations team.

As a Mobile Forklift Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of forklift and warehouse equipment at customer sites. You will be based from the Dewsbury depot but will travel across the local area, providing hands-on technical support to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Overview
  • Perform planned and reactive maintenance on forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
  • Carry out diagnostics, fault-finding, and repairs on various forklift models.
  • Complete service reports, maintain accurate records, and update the depot with job progress.
  • Travel to customer sites using a company vehicle and ensure all work is completed safely.
  • Liaise with the depot and customers to schedule visits and communicate technical advice.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company procedures.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a forklift engineer or in mobile plant/industrial vehicle maintenance.
  • Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical fault-finding skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied daily workload.
  • Customer-focused and professional attitude.
  • Flexible and willing to cover surrounding areas from the Dewsbury depot.
Salary & Benefits
  • Starting salary: £16.50 per hour, increasing to £17.50 after probation.
  • Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:30.
  • Door-to-door pay for travel to sites.
  • 28 days holiday including bank holidays.
  • Company vehicle and fuel card for business travel.
