Diesel Fitter required for a well-established specialist supplier of hydraulic and Electric Submersible Pumps. The successful candidate will be undertaking dismantling, repair and fitting responsibilities on a range of Diesel Pumps, Gearboxes and Diesel Engines. It is envisioned that the successful candidate will come from a background in Marine or HGV Fitting, have completed a Mechanical apprenticeship and be based within a commutable distance of Wokingham.
Job Overview:
- Split working between the company workshop and customer sites
- Dismantle, diagnose and fit a range of Diesel Pumps and Engines
- Undertake repair work in the company workshop on Pumps, Gearboxes and Engines
- Visit customer sites across Manchester as and when required
- Attend callouts for breakdowns as per company rota
Job Requirements:
- Apprentice trained in Mechanical Engineering
- Previous experience in Diesel Fitting, ideally on Pumps or Engines
- Confident in your ability to strip, repair and fit mechanical components
- Previous experience as a diesel fitter for the marine sector would be a bonus
- Based within a commutable distance of Wokingham
- Full Driving licence - Non negotiable
Salary & Benefits:
- £17.67 per hour
- Full time, 39 hour week
- Monday to Thursday 8:00 - 16:30, Friday 8:00 - 15:30
- Overtime Available
- 33 Days holiday including public holidays
