Bennett and Game are currently working with a leading General Haulage and Distribution firm actively recruiting an experienced Transport Manager to join their team to assist in the continued growth and development of their north Leeds site.
Our client are leaders in Warehouse, Distribution and Supply-chain Operations, and are currently looking to recruit an experienced Transport Manager to manage planning operations, driver regulations and compliance and fleet management of the company\’s modern fleet of circa 50 mixed HGV\’s.
Transport Manager Position Overview
- Manage all driver regulations, compliance and timetables
- Manage fleet compliance and company O\’Licence
- Oversee 3rd party and subcontract fleet and driver relations
- Oversee fleet compliance including FORS
- Issuing instructions to departments and ensuring that all work is executed as planned – ensuring that planning systems are updated and all necessary system changes are actioned in real time.
- To ensure that all work is planned and amalgamated wherever possible, reducing the resources needed to execute the work.
- To ensure all collection and delivery times planned throughout the day and managed accordingly
Transport Manager Position Requirements
- Transport Management CPC – Essential
- HGV Licence – Desirable
- IOSH / NEBOSH – Desirable
- FORS Practitioner – Desirable
- Proven experience managing internal & external drivers
- Previous experience using TMS and Planning systems
- Experience in General Haulage or Pallet Distribution – Desirable
- Experience managing driver\’s hours, tacho and infringements etc.
