A civil engineering contractor, with impressive growth plans, is seeking an experienced Resource Manager to take ownership of operational resourcing across multiple live projects. This is a key, business-critical role focused on forward planning, people development and operational continuity, working closely with senior operational leaders to ensure projects are correctly resourced at all times.
This position would suit someone from a strong operational background who understands site delivery, workforce planning and the realities of construction environments, and who enjoys being a problem-solver and trusted point of contact for delivery teams.

- Forecast short, medium and long-term site resource requirements based on workload, programme and pipeline
- Coordinate labour and plant allocation across multiple projects, balancing demand, location and skillsets
- Act as the central point of contact for all agency labour, ensuring effective agreements and commercial compliance
- Work closely with Area and Project Managers to prioritise resources
- Maximise utilisation of directly employed labour and support workforce development initiatives
- Collaborate with HR to manage training, competencies and operational qualifications
- Step in to resolve resourcing challenges on live projects, supporting site teams when required
- Ensure projects are resourced in line with health, safety and compliance requirements
- Maintain oversight of working hours, timesheets, expenses and vehicle usage
- Promote consistent communication, engagement and morale across site teams
- HNC/D (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- NVQ Level 6 / 7 (desirable)
- CSCS, SMSTS or equivalent site safety certification
- Proven experience in an operational role within construction or civil engineering
- Strong understanding of site delivery, labour planning and construction processes
- Working knowledge of HSEQ legislation and operational compliance
- Full UK Driving Licence
