Bennett and Game are pleased to represent a leading civil and structural engineering consultancy seeking a Senior / Principal Civil Engineering Technician to join their expanding design team in Fareham. This is a key technical role offering long-term progression, exposure to complex development-led schemes, and the opportunity to take ownership of CAD standards and team mentoring across highways and drainage projects.
Role Overview
- Production and coordination of civil engineering drawings for drainage, highways and infrastructure schemes
- Design support on S278 and S38 works from concept through to detailed design
- Acting as a technical lead on CAD output, standards and drawing quality
- Mentoring and supporting junior technicians and engineers
- Working closely with engineers, local authorities, developers and architects
- Improving CAD processes, workflows and standard detail libraries
- Providing technical input across multiple projects and stages
Requirements
- Experience as a Senior or Principal Civil Engineering Technician
- Strong background in drainage and highway design within a consultancy environment
- Proficient in AutoCAD with working knowledge of Site3D (or equivalent)
- Experience delivering S278 and S38 schemes
- Comfortable checking drawings and providing technical feedback
- Ability to manage workload across multiple projects
- Degree or HND in Civil Engineering beneficial but not essential

- Salary: Β£45,000 - Β£50,000
