Our client is a well-established and highly regarded Geotechnical and Geo-environmental Consultancy, providing specialist services across site investigation, land remediation, ground engineering, and environmental assessment projects throughout the UK. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a motivated Graduate / Junior Geotechnical & Geo-environmental Engineer to join their friendly and supportive team based in Alresford. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to develop hands-on experience while working towards Chartered status.
Position Remuneration- Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 DOE

- Primarily local site work - no regular overnight stays
- Supporting Senior Engineers on a wide range of geotechnical and geo-environmental projects
- Undertaking site investigations including walkovers, trial pitting, soakaway testing, and borehole supervision
- Carrying out gas monitoring, verification of capping layers, and earthworks inspections
- Preparing Phase 1 and Phase 2 Site Investigation reports
- Liaising with clients, regulators, site teams, and internal departments
- Assisting with coal mining risk assessments, remediation schemes, and ground design projects
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance
- Developing technical knowledge and professional competence through structured training
- Degree qualified (or working towards) in Geology, Earth Science, Geography, or related discipline
- Strong academic background including relevant A-Levels or equivalent
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle
- Interest in outdoor and site-based work
- Some work experience (industry related or otherwise)
- Confident communicator with good interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and able to work both independently and within a team
- Ambition to work towards Chartered status (ICE, GeolSoc, CIWEM, etc.)
- Passion for geotechnical and geo-environmental engineering
- Candidates with some prior site investigation or consultancy experience are also encouraged to apply.
