Smoke Ventilation Commissioning Engineer required for our client, a leading specialist in smoke ventilation, with over 30 years' experience in the industry, providing installation and maintenance to a variety of contracts such as residential buildings, hospital trusts, shops & shopping centres, schools, hotels and leisure facilities, theatres, power stations and government buildings. You will be covering works Nationwide, so being happy with travel and some stay away is a necessity.

Salary & Benefits

  • £47,000 - £53,000 DOE
  • Company Van and Fuel Card
  • Overtime (2X Sat & Sun, hourly rate Mon-Fri)
  • Monday - Friday (6am-4pm hours can vary due to type of work)
  • 21 days + 8BH Allowance - £30 per night
  • Pension

Job Overview

An approved electrician or equivalent with at least 2 years of experience commissioning a wide range of smoke ventilation. To be able to wire, fix & commission a range of smoke ventilation systems. To ensure smoke ventilation systems are able to be fully operated on. To be able to manage large or small installations and ensure that the team you are working with are working to the correct design and standards as per the drawings provided. To be able to communicate with other trades to ensure smooth completion of a project.

Job Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 / JIB / ECS card holder / PASMA / IPAF
  • Based in Hertfordshire
  • Working knowledge of ADB
  • Working knowledge of BS EN 12101
  • Working knowledge of BS 9999, BS 9991 & BS 7346 pt 8
  • SE Controls training programme from level 1 to level 6
  • Working knowledge of Colt, SCS, FDS and other equipment
