Our client, based in Redditch, is seeking a motivated HGV Mechanic to join their team working on a fleet of road sweepers. No previous experience with sweepers is required, as full training will be provided for the right candidate. Overview
- Carry out routine maintenance, inspections, and servicing on a fleet of road sweepers to ensure vehicles remain in safe and reliable working condition.
- Diagnose mechanical and technical issues, assisting with repairs under the guidance of experienced team members as training is provided.
- Perform basic electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical tasks, gradually developing skills specific to sweeper systems and components.
- Complete required paperwork, service records, and defect reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively with the workshop team to prioritise workloads, support breakdowns, and maintain a clean and organised working environment.
