An exciting position has arisen with a great, local Accountancy Practice with a fantastic local reputation and a lot of growth plans. They are recruiting for a trusted, and ambitious Semi Senior Accountant to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.
Minimum 3 years UK practice experience. Comfortable processing company accounts, working within tax and VAT, and bookkeeping. Strong base of experience looking to broaden skills and grow within a reputable environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of year‑end accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
- Liaise with clients to gather necessary financial data.
- Ensure accounts are completed in line with relevant accounting standards.
- Prepare corporation tax computations and returns (CT600).
- Identify tax planning opportunities and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations.
- Prepare and submit accurate VAT returns.
Qualifications
- 3+ years UK practice experience, knowledge of company account preparation, tax, VAT, and bookkeeping.
- Ability to broaden skills and grow in a reputable environment.
