Due to a healthy pipeline of work, our client, a well-established construction specialist with an annual turnover of circa £20m, is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and driven Estimator to join their growing commercial team.
This role would suit an Estimator with 2-5 years' experience who enjoys working closely with project and contracts teams, contributing to accurate tender submissions and smooth handovers into delivery. While timber frame experience would be advantageous, it is not essential for the right candidate with a solid construction estimating background.
Estimator - Role Overview- Review incoming enquiries and assess project requirements
- Produce detailed take-offs and accurate cost estimates
- Prepare estimates ready for submission, ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Support tender submissions and pricing strategies
- Liaise closely with project teams and contracts managers to ensure seamless sales-to-delivery handovers
- Maintain strong communication across internal teams
- Identify inefficiencies and contribute to continuous improvement within estimating processes
- 2-5 years' experience in a construction estimating role
- Proven knowledge of construction estimating (timber frame experience beneficial but not essential)
- Strong Excel skills, with confidence using formulas and calculations
- Experience using MS Project and/or other project management tools
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator with good negotiation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment

- 7:30am-4:30pm
