We are seeking a skilled and motivated Engineer to join our growing team within a well-established provider of powered access solutions based in Leeds. The business is known for delivering reliable, high-quality equipment and exceptional service to customers across a wide range of sectors, from construction and maintenance to industrial and commercial environments. Overview
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of powered access equipment.
- Split role between workshop-based tasks and mobile engineering responsibilities.
- Diagnose faults and identify effective repair solutions to minimise equipment downtime.
- Conduct thorough inspections to ensure all machines meet safety and compliance standards.
- Provide on-site support to customers, offering a high level of technical expertise and service.
- Prepare equipment for hire, ensuring all machinery is fully operational and presented to a high standard.
- Complete all relevant documentation accurately, including service records and inspection reports.
- Work collaboratively with the wider engineering and operations team to maintain efficient workflow.
- Support breakdown callouts when required, maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with powered access equipment is highly desirable, but not essential.
- Commutable distance of Leeds.
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical engineering skills gained from any relevant industry.
- Ability to diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs independently.
- Confidence working both in a workshop environment and on customer sites.
- Understanding of LOLER, PUWER, and general safety standards is an advantage.
- A qualification in engineering, plant, mechanical, electrical or similar (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Full UK driving licence is essential due to the mobile nature of the role.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to technical challenges.
- Good communication skills and the ability to deliver excellent customer service.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Salary & Benefits
- £30,000-£40,000 (Dependant on experience)
