Accounts Assistant job responsibilities:- Maintain Financial Records - Making sure all client data is up to date and accurate.
- Enquiries - Picking up and fielding enquiries from Clients on their portfolios.
- Team Development - Sharing knowledge, experience and insights with team members to help improve team performance.
- Business Development - Identify, communicate and implement opportunities to improve processes that contribute to the improvement of the business.
- VAT Returns - Assistance in preparing information for VAT returns and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
- Payroll Support - Assist in payroll support and expense claims processing.
- Self Development - Drive and motivate yourself to acquire new knowledge and skills to be the best that you can be.
- Supplier Payments - Reconcile petty cash/supplier payments.
- Financial Reports - Help prepare financial reports and assist with audits as required.
- AAT Level 3 and above.
- A minimum of 2 years accountancy practice experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Packages.
- Experience in either Sage 50, Xero, QuickBooks, IRIS, or CCH is advantageous.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Salary depending on experience, ranging from £25,000-32,000.
- Office based role, with ad hoc working from home available.
