HGV Mechanic Job Overview
- Maintain their mixed fleet of rigid and articulated vehicles and trailers to the highest standard and in line with DVSA requirements
- Vehicle and Trailer inspections
- MOT preparation to DVSA standards
- Brake testing at every inspection
- Fault finding and repairs
- Use of diagnostic equipment
HGV Mechanic Job Requirements
- Qualification in City and Guilds HGV Part 1, 2 & 3 or NVQ level 3 equivalent
- A minimum of 3 years' experience as an HGV Mechanic (post qualification) preferably within a fleet environment
- Large Goods Vehicle experience is essential
