Our client is a specialist in the service and maintenance of HVAC, mechanical, and Critical Cooling systems across London and the surrounding areas, seeking a skilled HIU Engineer (Foot Mobile) to join their growing team. The work is a mixture of planned maintenance and repair works as well as reactive works from our call-out service. The HIU Engineer will be Foot Mobile working across 2 sites near Canary Wharf and Southbank. When part of the 1-4 call out, a company vehicle will be provided.

The role of the HIU Engineer will be delivering planned maintenance, repair works, and reactive services. Key duties include:

  • Deliver service and repair to HIU CIU
  • Repair pipework and work on associated fixtures and fittings
  • Replace meters within the HIU
  • Carry out minor electrical repairs on HIU
  • Attend callouts when required - you will join the call after 1 month of service (1 in 4)
  • Operate foot mobile across 2 London Sites

HIU Engineer Job Requirements:

  • City & Guilds level 2 or equivalent
  • Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
  • Unvented hot water certification (desirable)
  • Previous experience in breakdown/repair/maintenance on hydraulic interface units
  • Able to work on Pumps, Valves and general mechanical plant equipment
  • Able to provide technical support to clients
  • Hold a Driving license for the Call Out Rota (1 in 4)

HIU Engineer Salary & Benefits:

  • £40-45k DOE per annum
  • 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
  • 23 days plus bank rising with service
  • 5-2x overtime rates - engineers often earn an additional 10-15k per annum
  • 1-4 call out rota
