My client is a leading designer and manufacturer of refuelling solutions and systems for a range of industries including Marine, Aviation and Defence. They are now looking to hire several Mechanical Fitters to join their established team in Stroud.
The ideal candidate will come from an Assembly and Production background, will be highly proficient with Hand and Power Tools and will have experience of Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems.
Mechanical Fitter Job Overview- Completing Engineering duties for sub-assembly production, fitting and final assembly
- Assembling Mechanical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic and Electronic components
- Assisting with the build of fabricated assemblies
- Using a variety of hand and power tools in assembly and quality assurance
- Marking out, cutting, folding, pipe bending and weld joint preparation as well as completing Hydraulic and Pneumatic runs.
- Previous experience in a Fitting / Assembly position
- Able to work from Engineering drawings / schematics
- Circuitry knowledge of Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Electrics
- Defence or Aviation background would be beneficial
- Knowledge of basic electrical assembly and the ability to read circuit drawings would be advantageous
- Based within a commutable distance of Stroud
- Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
- Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 16:30, Friday 07:30 - 14:00 (40 hours)
- 31 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays
- 2 Company bonus schemes
- Pension
