Position: Freight Coordinator
Location: Southampton
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 DOE
Bennett and Game are currently partnering with a leading and fast-growing global procurement and supply chain specialist. They are seeking an experienced and proactive Freight Logistics Coordinator to join the team from their Southampton office.
Job Overview
- Coordinate both import and export shipments via air and sea freight for international customers and suppliers
- Act as the main point of contact for managing shipments with external freight partners from origin to destination
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with freight partners and negotiate competitive transport rates
- Prepare and manage all shipping documentation and transport paperwork (excluding customs clearance)
- Issue shipment notifications and progress updates to internal stakeholders and customers in a timely manner
- Organise collections and deliveries with overseas suppliers, carriers, and UK receiving points
- Monitor shipment progress, proactively resolving delays or issues and keeping stakeholders informed
Job Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Freight Forwarder, Freight Coordinator, or in a similar international logistics role
- Experience handling international shipments, across both air and sea freight
- Good understanding of end-to-end freight movements and international transport processes (customs not required)
- Confident communicator, comfortable dealing with overseas agents, suppliers, and freight partners
- Able to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 DOE
- Monday to Friday office hours
