A new opportunity has arisen within a highly experienced and established accountancy practice in Edgware, for a Payroll Administrator. This practice prides itself on offering a professional service with a personal touch, always putting clients first.
This role is well suited to an experienced Payroll expert, with a minimum of 3 years experience, looking for a stable position where they can make a difference for clients. With a competitive salary, as well as hybrid working flexibility, this is a great opportunity.
Payroll Administrator Job Responsibilities- Process weekly and monthly payrolls accurately and on schedule.
- Verify timesheets, attendance data, and hours worked across multiple UK client accounts.
- Administer PAYE, National Insurance, statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP, SAP), and other payroll adjustments.
- Prepare and submit RTI filings including FPS and EPS submissions.
- Manage new starters, leavers, and contractual changes in accordance with HMRC requirements.
- Respond to client payroll queries promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records and ensure GDPR compliance.
- Assist with payroll reporting, pension uploads, and auto-enrolment duties.
- Support year-end processing including P60s, P11Ds, and reconciliation tasks.
- Proven experience within a payroll, preferably within practice or a payroll bureau.
- Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation, HMRC requirements, and statutory processes.
- Competence using payroll software, and Microsoft Excel. Experience in Payroll Manager, BrightPay, or similar systems is advantageous.
- Experience with client management and relations.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
- £30,000 - £32,000 (can be higher dependant on experience).
- Hybrid working available after probation.
- 20 days holiday plus bank holidays.
- Standard pension contribution and sick pay.
