A well established main contractor is seeking a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team, focusing on high end residential and heritage projects across Sussex, Surrey and Kent. The business delivers bespoke residential renovations, listed building restorations and specialist heritage works with project values typically ranging from £250k to £2M. This is an office base in East Grinstead with all live sites located within a 40-minute radius. The company offers strong progression opportunities and exposure to prestigious, detailed projects where quality is paramount.
Salary and Benefits
- £55,000 to £85,000 per annum depending on experience

Duties and Responsibilities
- Commercial management of projects from award through to final account
- Preparing tenders, cost plans, bills and procurement schedules
- Managing valuations, variations and monthly applications
- Liaising with clients, architects, heritage specialists and subcontractors
- Monitoring cost control, forecasting and risk management
- Supporting the delivery of high quality residential and heritage schemes
- Working closely with site teams to ensure commercial and contractual compliance
Requirements
- Experience as a QS within the construction industry
- Background in heritage, conservation or high end residential is advantageous but not essential
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple projects
- Excellent communication and client facing skills
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying preferred
