Design Engineer required. Our client is a well-established machinery manufacturer based in the Heckmondwike area. They are seeking an enthusiastic Design Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for Mechanical Design using Solidworks, as well as liaising with customers on specifications and providing technical solutions.

Position Overview:

  • Creating user and maintenance manuals for machinery
  • Creating 3D models using Solidworks for updating or modifying machinery
  • Leading on continuous improvement and lean manufacturing strategies
  • Ensuring finished machinery is in line with the appropriate quality standards
  • Greeting customers during visits to discuss parts requirements
  • Liaising with customers to understand the specification and work to deliver a solution

Position Requirements:

  • Proficient with Solidworks 3D modelling software or similar
  • Based in a commutable distance of Heckmondwike
  • Experience within a Mechanical Design related role
  • Degree qualified within a Mechanical or Design Engineering related subject or experienced in industry
  • Good customer service skills

Remuneration:

  • Salary £25,000 - £32,000 - depending on experience
  • Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 16:30. Friday 08:00 - 14:00.
  • Holiday allowance and pension
