Lead Data Centre Commissioning Engineer required for our client who is a successful HVAC company that owns 2 different manufacturers and operates across 65 countries. They are looking for a Lead Commissioning Engineer to join their team due to expansion across the UK.
The Lead Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all commissioning plans are executed and will work closely with the Control & Commissioning Manager.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Carrying out the Air Handling Unit (AHU) commissioning tasks according to the established script.
- Leading the commissioning to comply with the health and safety measures required for each site activity.
- Working closely with the Project Manager to deliver the Commissioning Programme in the agreed timeframe and budget.
This role may involve travel abroad to various Data Centres across Europe. Additional travel to the company's factory in Germany will be required.
Job Overview
- Highly desirable previous experience in HVAC.
- Strong commissioning knowledge of AHUs, Chiller and various Critical cooling appliances for Data Centres.
- Must understand the principles of airflow and take measurements, i.e. electricity, pressure, temperature, humidity.
- Working at height is required so MEWP and Harness experience is preferred.
- Demonstrable experience of HVAC and MODBUS systems.
- Need to hold or have previously held competence cards/completed training on; using harnesses (ipaf), building and using podiums steps/work platforms, MEWPs, step ladders, etc.
- Hold a current and valid CSCS card.
- Experience and knowledge of Data Centres is highly desirable as they will know the nature of the ASHREA Commissioning L1-L5 stages.
- Holds a current SSSTS or SMSTS card, but not essential.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary of £55-60k.
- Flexible working between 7am-7pm.
