Estimator Position Overview
- Working on competitive bids, negotiated contracts, and within frameworks.
- Provide competitive and analysed tender costs and submit the price and necessary quality submissions to a client.
- Reporting directly to the Estimating Manager, showing awareness of company targets.
- Aiming to better company targets with profitable successful bids.
- Assist with budget prices.
- Studying tender documentation and information provided.
- Assessing the viability of tenders.
- Calculate the net costs of a tender from first principles.
- Ensuring that tenders are complete and submitted on time.
Estimator Position Requirements
- HNC in Civil Engineering or similar discipline would be beneficial.
- Minimum of 2 years estimating experience within a Civil Engineering company.
- Working knowledge of NEC conditions of contracts.
- Previous site experience would be beneficial.
- Civil Engineering related degree or qualification.
- Ability to work well within a team environment.
- Financial and pre-contract management experience.
- Full driving licence.
- CSCS Card.
