Bennett & Game are pleased to be representing a leading civil engineering and infrastructure contractor seeking an Environmental Coordinator to join their head office team near Henfield. This role offers the chance to take ownership of environmental compliance, management plans and monitoring programmes across a varied portfolio of construction and infrastructure projects.
You will work closely with project teams, subconsultants and regulatory bodies to ensure environmental standards are fully met while supporting wider sustainability and carbon reduction initiatives. This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing technical work with hands-on project involvement and stakeholder coordination.
Environmental Advisor Role Overview- Ensure full environmental compliance across construction and infrastructure projects
- Develop and maintain CEMPs, SWMPs and permit applications
- Oversee monitoring for air, water, noise and biodiversity
- Coordinate specialists including ecologists, archaeologists and subconsultants
- Analyse environmental data and produce accurate audit ready reports
- 3 plus years' environmental experience within construction, civil engineering or consultancy
- Strong knowledge of UK environmental legislation and permitting processes
- Proven experience developing environmental management plans and supporting audits
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Degree in Environmental Science with IEMA membership (or working towards)
- ISO 14001 Knowledge
- £35,000-£45,000 depending on experience
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
