Press Brake Operator Job Overview
- Set up, adjust, and operate CNC and/or manual press brake machines
- Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and bend schedules
- Select appropriate tooling, dies, and machine settings for each job
- Perform precision bending and forming of sheet metal and plate materials
- Conduct in-process inspections using measuring tools (verniers, micrometers, angle gauges, etc.)
- Ensure all components meet quality standards and tolerances
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers and fabrication team members to ensure design intent is achieved
- Maintain equipment and report maintenance requirements promptly
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company procedures
- Assist with general fabrication tasks when required
