Operating across Yorkshire and Humberside, they deliver high-quality projects for private developers, local authorities, water companies, and blue-chip organisations, building strong and lasting client relationships.
They now have an exciting opportunity for a Design CAD Engineer to join their growing design team, playing a key role in supporting infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects on the Yorkshire Water Framework. This is a fantastic chance for an ambitious CAD Engineer with a civil engineering background to progress their career in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
The Role
- Producing 2D and 3D CAD designs for civil and drainage projects in line with client specifications and design standards.
- Supporting outline and detailed design stages, preparing drawings, reports, specifications, calculations, and estimates.
- Collaborating across disciplines to ensure the integrity of design solutions.
- Using industry platforms such as Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM360, Civils 3D or similar.
- Supporting construction and commissioning, including site visits and surveys using GPS tools.
- Contributing to design reviews, technical issue resolution, and innovation implementation.
- Maintaining compliance with H&S, CDM regulations, ISO 9001 and water industry standards.
Requirements
- Experience as a CAD Engineer, ideally within civil engineering and drainage design.
- Knowledge of UK water industry standards, Sewer Sector Guidance, and WIMES/CIWEM.
- Strong 2D/3D CAD skills, with Civils 3D or equivalent experience.
- Experience of integrating designs within BIM models (desirable).
- Understanding of hydraulic design principles.
- MEICA knowledge and/or surveying experience would be an advantage.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive and professional approach.
- Full UK driving licence and own transport.
