CNC Turner required to join a well-established manufacturing company based in the Bristol area. Due to ongoing success, they are looking for an experienced CNC Turner to join the team with previous knowledge of Online Programming, Setting and Operating of CNC Lathes. You will work closely with engineers and other manufacturing personnel to optimize production processes and achieve efficient and accurate machining operations.
CNC Turner Job Overview
- Fully programme CNC machines online including Miyano machines twin spindle, multi-axis turning centres using Fanuc controls.
- Experience with Citizen Miyano lathes is highly desirable, including the ability to fully program and set up these advanced multi-axis, multi-spindle machines.
- Understanding of their tooling systems, live tooling operations, and bar feeder integration is essential for efficient and accurate production.
- Able to fully set CNC machines, including installing workpieces, fixtures, cutting tools, and datum all tools and work shifts.
- Ability to select and install appropriate cutting tools, tool holders, and fixtures for the machining process, including the making of soft jaws.
- Understanding of machine parameters, speeds, feeds, and optimization techniques for efficient production.
CNC Turner Job Requirements
- In-depth knowledge and experience in operating CNC machines, specifically Fanuc Controls.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent understanding of CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code) and the ability to modify programs as needed.
- Capability to identify and resolve common CNC machine issues, such as tooling problems or programming errors.
- Proficiency in conducting routine machine maintenance and cleaning to ensure optimal performance.
- Ability to document and maintain accurate production records, including setup sheets, tool lists & kits.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, machining techniques, and process improvements.
CNC Turner Salary & Benefits
- Permanent position
- Salary - £16 + shift allowance which is 25% (Rising to £17.00 per hour + 25% shift allowance for candidates who are accomplished and confident in online programming)
- Monday to Friday - morning and afternoon shifts
- Week 1 - 6am to 2pm Monday to Thursday (6am - 11am on Fridays)
- Week 2 - 2pm - 10pm Monday to Thursday (11am - 4pm on Friday)
- Competitive holiday allowance
