Due to continued growth within their environmental team, they are now seeking an Arboricultural Consultant to join their Leeds office and contribute to a diverse range of projects in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.


Arboricultural Consultant Job Overview
  • Undertake tree surveys and produce BS5837 reports to support planning applications and development projects
  • Provide arboricultural advice and input across multidisciplinary design teams, working closely with ecologists and engineers
  • Prepare Arboricultural Impact Assessments and Method Statements in line with industry standards
  • Conduct site inspections and oversee tree protection measures during construction phases
  • Contribute to sustainable design solutions that integrate trees and green infrastructure into developments
  • Support the continued growth of the environmental team and mentor junior staff where appropriate

Arboricultural Consultant Job Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Arboriculture, Forestry, or a related environmental discipline
  • Demonstrable experience undertaking BS5837 tree surveys and producing technical reports for planning
  • Strong knowledge of tree legislation, planning policy, and industry standards (BS5837:2012)
  • Proficiency with mapping or surveying software such as AutoCAD, QGIS, or ArborCAD
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to site locations across the region

  • Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)
