Position: Drainage Engineer
Location: Wisbech, Cambridgeshire
Salary: £15 an hour (approx. £31,200 - £35,000 yearly depending on skills and overtime)
We currently have an opportunity available to join a local family‑run drainage contractor who have offered planned and emergency drainage maintenance works across the local area for over 25 years.
Drainage Engineer Job Overview
- Completing planned and reactive drainage maintenance including toilet/sink unblocks and plumbing repairs across Cambridgeshire and surrounding areas
- Operating high pressure jetting equipment to clear blockages
- Using CCTV camera systems to identify blockages in sewers
- Liaising with domestic and commercial clients, informing them of the works completed and advising on drainage queries
Drainage Engineer Job Requirements
- 3+ years experience completing planned and/or reactive drainage maintenance for domestic and commercial clients
- Previous experience operating high pressure jetting and CCTV drainage camera surveying equipment
- Full UK driving licence
- Based within a commutable distance of Wisbech, Cambridgeshire
Drainage Engineer Salary & Benefits
£15 an hour, negotiable depending on experience
Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm
Overtime available, starting at 1.5x and rising to 2x at weekends
1 in 4 week call out rota with £70 a week stand by payment + overtime for call outs
