Position Details

  • Location: West Bromwich
  • Salary: £32,000 - 34,500
  • Hours: 7:30am - 4:30pm Monday to Thursday & 7:30am to 12:30pm on Friday

Position Overview

  • Repair and maintain press tools and welding jigs and fixtures, assisting in solving production problems in the press shop.
  • Repair and carry out preventative maintenance on press tools of various sizes and support production in achieving daily goals.
  • Comply with the Companies Health and Safety procedures and report any Health and Safety issues to the Toolroom Team Leader.
  • Oversee any tool/jig modifications when required.

Position Requirements

  • Ability to use manual toolroom equipment such as Surface Grinders, Lathes, Millers, etc.
  • Ability to repair and maintain press tools from 45-ton to 400-ton single operation and progression tools.
  • Good timekeeper, as the role is fundamental to the efficient operation of the department.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve on tools that are in press.

Position Package

  • Annual salary: £32,000 - £34,500 (weekly pay)
  • Hours: 7:30am - 4:30pm Monday to Thursday & 7:30am to 12:30pm on Friday
