Specification & Procurement Engineer required. Our client is a well-established manufacturer of process equipment based in the Bishops Stortford area. Due to ongoing success, they are seeking an experienced Specification & Procurement Engineer to join their procurement department.
This role involves developing detailed technical specifications for mechanical, pneumatic, and instrumentation equipment, as well as procuring and inspecting these components for use in the manufacture of high-quality, critical automated processing systems for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and research sectors.
Position Overview- The detailed specification and procurement of all mechanical, pneumatic and instrumentation equipment and components used in collaboration with design engineers and project management.
- Careful review of the project requirements.
- Developing firm technical plans, designs and specifications.
- Producing technical documents as required on projects.
- The issuing of drawings, specifications and other documents to suppliers for quoting and/or purchase.
- Ensuring all items required for a project are ordered and delivered on time.
- Negotiating with suppliers regarding pricing and delivery schedules.
