Bennett and Game are seeking a Senior Design Engineer for our client based in Fleet. This leading consultancy offers a comprehensive solution for development transport assessment, planning, S278/38 highways scheme design, drainage, and environmental planning. The ideal candidate will collaborate with existing teams, enhancing the company's technical excellence while building a personal workload and client base. Proficiency in Drainage software and Drainage Highway Design is a requisite. Main Duties:
- Ensure designs are delivered within program and budget constraints
- Manage resource allocations for optimal team utilization
- Collaborate with Milestone's Senior Management Team on cross-office projects
- Incorporate requirements of relevant authorities and statutory bodies into designs
- Undertake, check, and authorize design information and reports, providing effective feedback
- Ensure designs comply with MCHW, DMRB, and/or local design guidance
- Foster innovation and continuous improvement within the team
- Comply with Health & Safety legislation, particularly CDM Regulations, adopting proactive risk management/mitigation approaches
- Experience in Section 278 and Section 38 highway design projects
- Proactive management skills with confidence to handle growing and varied workloads
- Strong technical skills and experience in diverse highway design environments
- Proven project management of highway projects, delivering to program and budget
- Experience in developing, mentoring, and supervising Highway Design staff
- Robust working knowledge of highways Technical documents within the DMRB
- Experience managing the development of contract documents in accordance with relevant Highway contracts
- Expertise in highway drainage design and use of MicroDrainage software
- Ability to work with or advise key clients on technical issues in the highway structures sector at a senior level
