We are seeking a highly skilled Scaffold Design Engineer to join an established and dynamic team, based in Brighton. The successful candidate will bring a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in scaffold design or temporary works and a passion for delivering innovative and practical solutions within the construction industry. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive site surveys, performing structural analysis, and undertaking independent design checks to ensure accuracy, safety, and compliance with all relevant standards.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive site surveys
- Perform structural analysis and undertake independent design checks
- Identify clients’ needs and liaise with them both face to face and in writing/by phone as necessary
- Produce supporting calculations and conduct structural analysis
- Read and reference complete structural drawings
- Site visits and surveys
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or HNC in Engineering coupled with relevant experience in Scaffold Design)
- Evidence of practicality, efficient use of materials, and efficiency in producing designs
- Advanced level use of AutoCAD to produce high-quality design drawings
- Relevant experience working with structural analysis software tools in line with current standards
- Competent at reading and interpreting complex structural drawings
- Friendly, collaborative outlook to establish and build client relationships
