Bennett & Game are currently partnering with a leading haulage company that has recently invested in its workshop operations. As a result, they are looking to add skilled Trailer Mechanic / HGV Mechanic to join their expanding Pontefract site.

As an integral part of the team, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure they meet both safety and performance standards.

Trailer Mechanic - Job Overview
  • Maintain a mixed fleet of rigid and articulated vehicles and trailers to the highest standard, in line with DVSA requirements
  • Carry out vehicle and trailer inspections
  • Prepare vehicles for MOTs to DVSA standards
  • Conduct brake testing at every inspection
  • Perform fault finding and repairs
  • Use diagnostic equipment effectively
Trailer Mechanic - Job Requirements
  • Proven experience in an HGV Mechanic role
  • Experience working on DAF & Mercedes fleets (desirable)
  • Valid HGV Class 1 Licence is required
  • NVQ or equivalent qualification in engineering
  • Within a commutable distance to the Pontefract workshop
