Welder / Fabricator is required in Cardiff / Vale of Glamorgan for our client. Our client is a well-established manufacturing business with around 70 years of experience, specialising in the manufacture of doors. They are looking for either an experienced Welder / Fabricator or a graduate/junior candidate with practical welding and fabrication experience to join their production team.
This is a hands-on opportunity where the successful candidate will initially work on the tools within the factory, gaining a strong understanding of the company's products and manufacturing processes. There is genuine long-term progression available for the right individual, with the potential to develop into a Production Management role and eventually progress into more senior management positions.
Job Overview
- Work hands-on within the production and fabrication team
- Carry out MIG and TIG welding as required
- Fabricate and assemble components for manufactured door products

Job Requirements
- Previous welding and/or fabrication experience is essential
- MIG and TIG welding experience is desirable
- Open to experienced Welder / Fabricators or graduates/junior candidates with practical welding/fabrication experience
- Practical, hands-on approach with a genuine interest in manufacturing
- Reliable, hardworking and keen to develop a long-term career
- Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibility
- Must live within approximately 10 miles of the company's Cardiff-area facility
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: £16.00 - £20.00 per hour, depending on experience
- Experienced candidates: approximately £19.00 - £20.00 per hour
- Less experienced candidates: approximately £16.00 - £18.00 per hour
- 20 days' holiday
- Government pension
- Overtime available
- Working hours: 07:30 - 16:00 Monday to Thursday, 07:30 - 15:30 Friday
- 37.8 hours per week
- 15-minute and 30-minute breaks
